CEO Sleepout

On Thursday 3rd March myself, Nick and Allan will be giving up a night of comfort in a bid to raise awareness of the issues surrounding homelessness. Sleeping rough for one night, we hope to put the spotlight on this important issue, while also raising some vital funds to support Tyneside's most needy.

For anyone who knows me, you will appreciate that this is not an easy thing for me to do. As a former hotelier I have always had a love for the finer things in life and when away from home you'll normally find me in a nice hotel. This is the exact reason why my family haven't been able to convince me to take a short break in a caravan. And I have certainly never entertained the idea of camping.

So, why am I taking part in CEO Sleepout?

Homelessness is an issue that affects thousands people in the UK, which can have a devastating impact on the individual's life. Without help, homeless people stand very little chance of turning things around. And organisations such as Depaul UK, Changing Lives and the Newcastle United Foundation need our help to continue their great work.

Nick, our Founder is also coming along for the evening to hopefully keep our spirits high, likely with a filled hip-flask. He said "Personally, I think it will be a very humbling experience and strangely, I'm looking forward to it. It's great to be involved with such a great cause and unique concept. It's a great talking point and hopefully collectively we can raise some money that will be put to good use."

Allan our Brand Ambassador and Director of Trust Print Consultants said "If by sleeping rough for one night helps raise awareness of the terrible situation people face, then aye, I'm up for it."
