Moltin is an API set to revolutionise eCommerce. It offers developers more flexibility than ever before when building online stores. Although they had a great product, Moltin needed a strong brand to launch themselves. They needed to encourage developers to adopt the new product and compete with the giants of the eCommerce world. The challenge was to get across the innovation of their product, while encouraging users and potential investors to buy into their API.

Innovation is at the heart of what Moltin do.

With innovation at the heart of what they do, Moltin needed a unique visual style. So we set about creating a unique visual style using 3D software. We also looked at introducing a fresh and vibrant colour scheme. Combined, these offered Moltin a flexible brand identity. Along with the visual elements of the brand, we redefined their brand strategy. As part of this we created a powerful brand culture, 'Spreading APIness'. This allowed Moltin's staff, users and investors to feel part of something.

Making life simpler for developers

As part of their strategy, we created a unique and friendly tone of voice. This meant that the website could understood by both technical and non-technical users. It also strengthened the message that Moltin's product made things simpler for developers. Within a few months the team were successfully accepted onto the Y Combinator accelerator programme in Silicon Valley, San Francisco. Their brand is continuing to evolve, and there are exciting times ahead for the team at Moltin.
